ENGAGE | CAPACITATE | INTEGRATE
At MonyQadow, we believe in the power of communities and the strength within each individual. Step into a world where refugees and women lead the way, shaping their destinies and contributing to a brighter future. Together, we build bridges, foster inclusivity, and empower those who have faced displacement firsthand.
ABOUT
Founded in 2019, MonyQadow is a dynamic Refugee and Women-led Organization committed to championing the cause of refugee-centric services. Operating with a steadfast commitment, we prioritize the leadership of those who have experienced displacement firsthand, ensuring culturally sensitive and impactful interventions. Through active engagement with refugee communities and strategic partners, we initiate projects fostering community involvement, building capacities, and seamlessly integrating refugees into their host communities. Beyond traditional aid approaches, we focus on sustainable solutions, empowering refugees to contribute actively.
HOW WE WORK
MonyQadow operates in close collaboration with refugee agencies and host countries, fostering partnerships with both to create impactful initiatives. Our primary focus lies in working closely with diverse refugee communities hailing from regions such as Rwanda, South Sudan, Somalia, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, and Sudan. Additionally, we extend our efforts to engage with host communities, particularly within the Kenyan landscape, encompassing the Dadaab Refugee Camp, Nairobi, and Nakuru. Our 4 main pillars that drive us are:
01
Strategic Partnerships
In forging alliances with reputable refugee agencies and host countries, MonyQadow ensures a comprehensive and inclusive approach to addressing the unique challenges faced by refugees. By leveraging the expertise and resources of our partners, we amplify the effectiveness of our interventions, ensuring they are well-aligned with the specific needs and cultural contexts of the communities we serve.
03
Community-Centric Approach
Our approach is rooted in a deep understanding of the distinct cultures, histories, and challenges of each refugee community. By actively involving these communities in the planning and implementation of projects, we ensure that our interventions are not only culturally sensitive but also sustainable. MonyQadow believes in empowering refugees to be architects of their own destinies, fostering a sense of ownership and self-reliance.
02
Geographical Reach
MonyQadow's operational footprint spans across diverse regions, allowing us to connect with and cater to the needs of refugee communities dispersed across multiple countries. Our engagement is not only limited to the confines of refugee camps but extends to urban settings such as Nairobi and Nakuru, recognizing the dynamic nature of displacement and the varied contexts in which refugees find themselves.
04
Holistic Integration
MonyQadow's commitment to holistic integration extends beyond the immediate needs of refugees. We work towards fostering long-term solutions that go beyond humanitarian aid, encompassing aspects such as education, skill development, and social cohesion. Our efforts aim to create environments where refugees can thrive and actively contribute to the prosperity of their host communities.
